Ezra Berkowitz, MD Pediatric Orthopedics
Ezra Berkowitz, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Center of Palm Beach County, with locations in Atlantis, Boynton Beach, and Wellington, Florida.
Originally from Roselyn, New York, Dr. Berkowitz received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in New York City. He later taught chemistry and physics at LaGuardia High School in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of New York.
Shortly after, Dr. Berkowitz returned to school and earned his doctorate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the State University of New York’s Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, earning chief resident.
Dr. Berkowitz then completed a one-year fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Nemours Children’s Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, where he focused on the operative and non-operative management of pediatric musculoskeletal care, including sports, spine, developmental and trauma-related issues that occur in children. He has extensive training in modern surgical techniques, although he favors conservative treatment, including casting, bracing, and therapy whenever possible.
