Jace Provo, MD Sports Medicine
Dr. Jace Provo is the only Sports Medicine doctor in South Florida with over 20 years experience at the top level of major professional sports. In addition to his practice, Dr. Provo serves as Senior Vice President, Medical Services for the National Basketball Association. In this role, he oversees the healthcare related activities for the NBA, WNBA and NBA D League. He began his career in the NBA in 1992 and has been an integral part of the development and execution of healthcare domestically and internationally. He has provided care at four different Olympic games including London 2012 and Rio 2016. He has been involved in the implementation of musculoskeletal ultrasound in professional basketball, the use of alternative therapy, the development of concussion policy and medical and cardiac screening of professional athletes.
Dr. Provo completed a residency at the prestigious University of Chicago and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Northshore/LIJ in New York. He also holds a Master of Health Care Management from Harvard University.
Dr. Provo is one of only 140 physicians in the United States board certified in both Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He is Board Certified in Sports Medicine, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Emergency Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Because of his long-standing involvement at the highest levels of Sports and Sports Medicine, Dr. Provo and his staff provide the highest level of personalized service and the highest level of cutting edge non-operative sports medicine frequently only available at universities.
