Brent Hill, MD Sports Medicine, Shoulder & Knee
Dr. Hill is a Tampa, Florida native and attended the University of South Florida for his undergraduate education, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. He then attended Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he first received his Master of Medical Sciences, followed by his Doctorate in Medicine (MD). He completed a 5-year orthopedic surgical residency at the University of South Florida/Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.
Following residency, Dr. Hill completed a one-year long fellowship at Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans, Louisiana where he received specialized training in sports medicine surgery, shoulder, and knee surgery. His fellowship training focused on cutting-edge arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including advanced training in cartilage restoration and complex sports-related injuries. He gained experience treating professional athletes as the assistant team physician for the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans.
Dr. Hill focuses on the operative and non-operative treatment of both athletes and non-athletes of all ages. He performs arthroscopic and open procedures for a variety of orthopedic conditions including sports-related injuries, arthritis, and traumatic injuries. He takes special interest in shoulder surgery including total shoulder replacement and complex shoulder arthroscopy.
